How To Count Mean Pressure At Home

Little bit confusing right?
Let us explain.

When you visit a doctor or you check your bp at home, you will see 2 values such as 140/90 mmHg.

The first value 140 is the systolic pressure  and the next value 90 is the diastolic pressure.

Pulse pressure is :
(systolic bp-diastolic bp)
So ,
140 -90 =50
The normal value for pulse pressure in healthy person will be about 30 -50 mmHg.

With the known pulse pressure, you can calculate mean pressure by the above formula.
Diastolic BP +1/3 (Pulse Pressure)
Ex:

90+1/3 (140-90)= 106
The normal range is 70 to 100mmHg

So what all this means to our health?
When the mean pressure is below 50mmHg,the chance for inadequate vital organ perfusion is greater. If it's high, there is more chance of getting hypertension.
